Common Questions
The things people ask us most — sizes, what fits, how pricing works, booking, and delivery. Can't find your answer? Our team is one click away.
Bins & what fits
We offer 5, 15, 18, and 20-yard roll-off bins. The 5-yard suits dirt, concrete, and tight spots; the 15-yard is our most popular for renovations, roofing, and tighter driveways; the 18 and 20-yard handle larger cleanups, landscaping, and construction. Not sure which? Tell us the job and we'll recommend the right one.
Most homeowners take a 15 or 20-yard. For roofing we usually recommend a 15-yard because of weight limits. Describe your project when you book and we'll point you to the right size.
Dirt, rock, concrete, construction and renovation debris, and yard waste are all fine. Tires, mattresses, fridges, and toilets are accepted with a per-item surcharge. Please keep out paint, stains, solvents, fuel, batteries, asbestos, and hazardous waste — those need proper handling. Drywall needs the right documentation (see below). Unsure about an item? Just ask and we'll let you know.
Yes — but the load needs a valid asbestos clearance document, or the transfer station can reject it and charge a fee. Our free drywall guide walks you through exactly what you need. See the drywall guide →
Yes — you load the bin at your own pace during your rental window, and we handle drop-off, pickup, and disposal. If you'd rather we load and haul it for you, ask about our debris-removal service.
Pricing, booking & payment
Bins start at $275, and the exact price depends on your town — disposal is billed separately by weight, so what you put in the bin is the biggest factor. Rather than one sticker price that's wrong for half the people who call, we give you a real quote for your address and job. See live pricing on the booking site →
Bin rentals are paid by credit card when you book online. A deposit holds your bin (the rental plus about one tonne of disposal), and the balance is settled after the bin is weighed — so you only pay for the disposal you actually use. If paying by card doesn't work for you, give us a call at 250-228-8781 and we'll sort something out.
Book online anytime through our booking site — pick your service, dates, and drop-off spot — or reach out and we'll set it up for you. Book now →
Delivery, timing & service area
Often within 24–48 hours. Our booking site shows live availability — pick your date there and we'll confirm it. Booking a couple of days ahead helps lock in a busy slot.
Across Central Vancouver Island — Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay, Errington, Coombs, Dashwood, Hilliers, Lantzville, Nanaimo, Yellow Point, Bowser, Cedar, and nearby communities. Farther out — Port Alberni, Lake Cowichan, the Gulf Islands? Ask us and we'll let you know if we can make it work.
Monday to Friday 7am–5pm, Saturday 9am–5pm, closed Sunday.
Tell us exactly where you'd like it — driveway, lane, or side yard — plus any gate or height limits. As long as we have clear access and instructions, you don't need to be home.
Your quote includes a multi-day rental window; if you need it longer, a small daily rate may apply — we'll confirm when you book. When you're done, just let us know and we'll schedule pickup.
Equipment & services
Yes — mini excavators (the Bobcat E10 fits many standard gates, plus the Bobcat E35 and Hyundai 25) and a John Deere 313G skid steer, by the day or week, with free delivery on rentals of three days or more. You can run the machine yourself, or hire us to operate it. One note: equipment rental isn't available in the Nanaimo area (bins only there) — everywhere else on our route, you're covered.
No — we deliver and pick up our machines on our own trailer, so you don't need a truck or trailer of your own, and the machine arrives ready to work.
For equipment, a rental day is about 8 hours of use. Bins aren't billed by the hour — they come with a multi-day window (drop-off, your rental time, and pickup). Keep either longer and a small daily rate applies, which we confirm when you book.
Yes — trenching, grading, site prep, land clearing, small demolition, and rock or concrete breaking. Tight or complex sites sometimes need a quick site visit so we can quote it right.
Both. Our crew can load and haul debris for you (rather than a bin you load yourself), and we deliver gravel, topsoil, fill, mulch, and more.
Yes — we locate with GPR and radio detection and work to BC One Call / safe-dig practice. Many customers bundle a locate with mini excavation.
Programs & more
Yes! Refer a friend and you both benefit — they get a discount on their first job, and you get a thank-you reward when they book. Ask us for the current details.
Yes — leave us a Google review and we'll apply a one-time $25 credit (one per customer, on your first rental). Once your review is up, reply to our email and we'll take care of it. See what customers are saying →
It's not a regular service, but depending on the season and the year we can sometimes help — reach out and ask, and we'll let you know.
We're focused on bin rentals, mini excavation, and equipment rental — so we don't do portable washrooms, municipal curbside garbage pickup, aerial/boom lifts or large graders, or free scrap-metal bins. If we're not the right fit, tell us what you need and we'll point you in the right direction.
